Our full-design process consists of the same general steps, whether we’re decorating a small room or remodeling an entire home. However, we can customize these phases to meet your individual needs and budget. For example, if you just want help selecting materials for a remodeling project, but want to implement the plan yourself, we can tailor our services to fit those needs.

Process

Are you tired of spending your precious free time at home improvement stores? Do you want to entertain friends and family, but your home is a disaster? We specialize in simplifying the design process and giving you spaces that are functional, yet elegant. We manage all the details with our proven methods so you can spend more time doing what you love.

Initial Meeting: Our design process begins with an initial consultation. We talk about the project you’d like to do and tour the space. We make sure we are a “good fit” to work together. If we decide to move forward, you will need to sign a contract and put down a deposit to get started.

Planning: First we come up with a plan. This includes taking detailed measurements, understanding your likes and dislikes, and determining how the space will be used. We then come up with floor plans, color schemes, and various options for furnishings/materials. We can provide options at different price points to fit most budgets. We can also assist with finding contractors and getting bids for their services. When selections are finalized, we prepare a final budget and determine the timeline. Even if you are implementing the plan in phases due to budgetary constraints, it is important to have the overall plan completed so you end up with a space that looks cohesive and “pulled together”.

Purchasing: When the design plan is finalized, we begin purchasing materials and furnishings. We have numerous trade accounts with vendors that provide high quality items at better pricing than is available to the general public.

Installation: During this phase, we coordinate any work needed by contractors or other vendors. Once this work is complete, we arrange the furniture, hang the window treatments and art, and place accessories as the final touch!

New Construction: Building your dream home is a huge undertaking. Strategic, detailed planning must be done to create a home that is functional, cohesive, and reflective of your personal style. We can help you select paint colors, countertops, tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and much more!

Remodels: Remodeling is an exciting time, but can leave you feeling overwhelmed. We can help you develop a design plan (including budget and timeline), find contractors, and oversee the process.

Interior Decorating: For many, selecting furniture, window treatments, accessories, and art is difficult. These pieces need to be functional, comfortable and stylish. We help select items that meet your needs and reflect your unique taste. We select items that complement each other and result in a unified space.

eDesign: If you want the look of a professionally designed room, but need a less expensive option, eDesign may be for you. You provide the necessary measurements and we give you a design plan that includes layout, furniture, art, and accessories that you can purchase online at your own pace. All communication is done via phone or email, so this option is great for both local clients and clients located outside of our Baton Rouge/New Orleans service area.

Paint Color Selection: In order to select the best paint color for a room, you must consider lighting, flooring, items that will be in the room, and the undertones of all these things. We can guide you in the right direction so you’ll be thrilled with your final outcome.
